Project name: Training and economic empowerment of women
Implemented by: Forhuman Development Foundation
Funding and supervision: Islamic Charitable Organization
Sister: M.D.K
She lives in the Hais district of Al-Hudaydah city, displaced from the Al-Jarahi area
She has three children, one of whom died due to illness, and she has two children left to support. Her father and husband were working in selling firewood to support her and her family, but because of the war, her father died and her husband suffered a psychological condition and lost his mind, and their house burned to the ground.
M.D.K. says: I had to work in this same profession (collecting firewood) to provide a living for me and my children, but I still suffer from this situation because my livelihood is difficult and I still live in a yard that has no roof or suitable shelter for living, and this has caused As a result of my children contracting many diseases, sometimes neither I nor my children can find a living to satisfy our hunger, and I do not have family, brothers, or sisters to provide me with help and assistance.
She also says (M.D.K.) that a team from the Forhuman Foundation came to me to get to know me and my suit, so they offered me to train with them in sewing and embroidery courses, and they told me that this course would help me support myself and my family.
So I agreed to register, and when I finished all the sections of the course, I was given a grant provided by the Islamic Charitable Organization, which consisted of a sewing machine with all its accessories.
Now, thank God, I have started working on the sewing profession and I have another income that supports me and my family, and I aspire to expand my work further in the coming days.
